Recently available , is firmware 5.00.09 (English). Updates in this firmware: Use at least CPS Verion 2.6 to install this firmware.
If you are buying a TK11 radio from an overseas supplier and you want an English version, make sure you are not being supplied a Chinese version before you order. The English firmware can not be loaded into a TK11 that has Chinese firmware pre-installed.
Currently, Chirp doesn’t support the TK11 ( it has been requested to have the TK11 added ). So the only option is the factory software. No update on price or availability, but today we have information there is a third variant in the TK-11 series: the TK-11(5). No information at this stage as to how it differs from the TK-11 and TK11(8) siblings!
Well the label on the box in the video (post of 24/2/25) showing the TK11 has only 144 / 430 for TX may be misleading. It appears from the Quansheng flyers, that there is not much difference between the TK11 and TK11(8). There are some sites taking orders for the TK-11, but officially it is still not yet released. At least one site is decent enough to say that it is on backorder.
